Website Design and Copy

Pillars Community Coalition (PCC) is a conceptual design project where I wanted to create a strategic web architecture aiming to bolster fundraising potential and community engagement.

Nonprofits must tackle two objectives when creating a digital home: clearly communicating their systemic impact to major donors and grantmakers, while simultaneously remaining accessible to the local community members who need their services. While designing this website for the imaginative PNC organization, I adhered to the following three principles to achieve these goals.

Leading with Impact

For the homepage, I switched out vague mission statements with immediately presented key metrics using visually engaging infographics and icons. This establishes instant authority.

Building Credibility

Institutional donors look for financial health before writing a check. In the about page, I designed a dedicated "Financial Transparency" section featuring a clear donut chart (highlighting 85% programmatic spending) alongside prominent buttons to download official financial reports. Paired with a clean, approachable "Meet Our Leadership" grid, this architecture signals an organization managed with high level professionalism.

Clarifying the Narrative

To prevent information overload, the design in the program pages structures complex initiatives into digestible sections. By juxtaposing "The Challenge" directly next to "Our Approach," the narrative of change is immediately clear. I utilized interactive accordion menus for specific services to keep the page clean, and anchored the bottom of the page with hard "Outcomes" data and a highly visible "Need Assistance?" call-to-action for community members.
